The Audience Development Intern works closely with the Audience Development Coordinator, Digital Marketing Manager, and Director of Marketing to collaborate on and execute strategic initiatives to develop new in-person and digital audiences for both free and paid events, as well as building strong relationships with local and regional community members and organizations, and serving as a supporting liaison to the Community Engagement department and The School at Jacob’s Pillow on year-round projects and initiatives.

This position is centered on creating and cultivating partnerships with local organizations and affinity groups in an active team setting, through direct outreach, relationship management, and research projects. Additionally, this position is periodically tasked with digital and print media and marketing responsibilities, including supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with website edits, blog writing, and email campaign creation, as well as supporting the Social Media Consultants with strategy and engagement across Jacob’s Pillow platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube).

As part of the Marketing team, the Audience Development Intern may also help to manage certain aspects of in-person patron relations on the Jacob’s Pillow campus, as well as assist with on-site print and digital signage; assist with marketing research, community outreach and events, off-site marketing events, and group visit logistics; and give public tours.

Candidates should have a strong interest in communications, interpersonal collaboration, community development, and project management. Applicants must be detail-oriented, organized, effective time managers, and possess marketing instincts.
