Anna Gladkova is a Leading Researcher and Deputy Dean for the International Affairs Office at the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University. She is co-chair of the IAMCR Digital Divide Working Group, IAMCR Ambassador in Russia and a member of the IAMCR International Council.
Anna Gladkova has published on ethnic media, digital inequalities and digital divides. Her recent co-edited books include Digital Inequalities in the Global South (with Massimo Ragnedda, Palgrave Macmillan, 2020), Ethnic Journalism in the Global South (with Sadia Jamil, Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), and Digital Inequality: Studies in Cultural Communication (with Elena Vartanova and Shi-xu, Routledge, forthcoming). She received research grants from the Presidential Grant Council for state support of young Russian scholars, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, and the Fulbright.
Anna Gladkova sits on the editorial boards of several leading academic journals and guest-edited a number of special issues for the Journal of Multicultural Discourses (2020), Digital Journalism (forthcoming), and others. She is also Editor-in-Chief of World of Media. Journal of Russian Media and Journalism Studies (Q2 in Linguistics and Language).
