Community Learning Centers
CLC
CLC is a new strategy of community engagement. With an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, the CLC aims to improve student learning and build stronger families and healthier communities. Using school facilities as a hub to deliver programs and services, the CLC brings together partners offering a range of support to students, families and the community. The CLC responds to challenges students face both inside and outside of the classroom with schools as "centers" of the community, open to students and families beyond the school day. Students are recommended by their individual schools to attend the academic and enrichment based program.
Our Community Learning Centers operate each afternoon that school is in session. We follow all Virginia licensing requirements.

The Lion Pride afterschool program serves students in first through fifth grade that attend Glen Lea Elementary. The program operates weekly Monday through Thursday after school until 6pm.
In the afterschool program, students receive academic and homework support, snack and dinner, free transportation, and enrichment opportunities such as STEM, arts, health & wellness, social emotional learning (SEL)/mindfulness and much more!
- The CLC program at Glen Lea began in 2015 offering a third grade extended day program three days a week
- 21st CCLC grants have expanded and enhanced the program since its inception in 2015
The Hawk's Nest afterschool program serves students in first through fifth grade that attend Holladay Elementary. The program operates weekly Monday through Friday after school until 5:30pm.
In the afterschool program, students receive academic and homework support, snack and dinner, free transportation, and enrichment opportunities such as STEM, arts, health & wellness, social emotional learning (SEL)/mindfulness and much more!
The Lion's Den afterschool program serves students in first through fifth grade that attend Laburnum Elementary. The program operates weekly Monday through Friday after school until 5:30pm.

The Mustang Stable afterschool program serves students in first through fifth grade that attend Montrose Elementary. The program operates weekly Monday through Thursday after school until 5:30pm.

The Ram Scholars afterschool program serves students in first through fifth grade that attend Ratcliffe Elementary. The program operates weekly Monday through Thursday after school until 6pm.

The Falcon Academy afterschool program serves students in sixth through eighth grade that attend Fairfield Middle. The program operates weekly Monday through Thursday after school until 6pm.
In the afterschool program, students receive academic and homework support, snack and dinner, free transportation, and enrichment opportunities such as STEM, arts, health & wellness, social emotional learning (SEL)/mindfulness and much more!
The Jaguar Academy afterschool program serves students in sixth through eighth grade that attend John Rolfe Middle. The program operates weekly Monday through Friday after school until 6pm.

The HS2 Promise Academy serves students in ninth through twelfth grade that attend Highland Springs High. The program operates weekly Monday through Thursday after school until 6:30 pm.
