SJRCA4- Equal Rights Amendment
The United States Congress proposed these 24 words, guaranteeing equal rights to men and women:
"Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex."
This Amendment never passed Congress, therefore it was never added to the U.S. Constitution.

Only two states are needed to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to make equal rights for men and women in the U.S. Constitution. A resolution introduced in the Illinois legislature passed the Senate this month 43-12! We now need to focus on the House as they are set to vote in the following weeks. Will you help us make history? We need your help to steer our State Representatives in the right direction.

We have seen firsthand the impact phone bank campaigns have had on legislators, with the most recent example being HB40. Help us make a difference! Can we count on you to help us as we launch our phone bank campaign advocating for the ERA? Any amount of time would help.
