Encapsulated and graded 9.8 with a “First-Party V-Seam” seal rating of A+ by WATA Games. Offered here is a sealed and graded copy of “Mortal Kombat” developed by Midway and published by Acclaim for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The port of the popular arcade fighting game between fighters from Earthrealm and Outworld that featured extreme blood and gore was released for home consoles on what was dubbed “Mortal Monday” on September 13, 1993. The arcade version helped prompt the formation of the government-backed Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) that set descriptor ratings for games. The SNES version is known for its great graphics and controls but lack of the blood and “Fatalities” that made the arcade game famous. This presented copy features a “Made in Japan” label and a “No Rating” label from the ESRB on the cover of the box. This presented copy is a first production copy. A near-perfect copy of one of the most influential fighting games in video game history.
