Random Acts of Kindness Challenge

Tax deductible
Welcome to 2022!   Although it’s a new year and the holidays are over, it’s always a perfect time for giving and sharing kindness. The date change does not change the fact that there is suffering in our community. The problems seem so insurmountable at times, but if each of us do something small, together we have the power to move mountains and make a huge impact.

We’ve had tremendous participation and generous donations, but we are still short our goal.  So, if you have capacity to give, please consider joining me and my Leadership Fort Collins Team, in partnership with local non-profit, Be Kind FoCo, in this years' Random Acts of Kindness Challenge and donation drive.  We'll be raising money through January 27th for multiple charities and causes through Be Kind FoCo.

Please invite your family and friends to donate, and share this link.  https://gofund.me/a1d77204

The official Challenge is over, but our donation drive still continues for these fine nonprofits and causes:

• Crossroads Safehouse-providing shelter, outreach and prevention for victims of domestic violence and interpersonal abuse

• Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County- provide a safe environment where kids can learn, play and grow.

• Hope Lives - offering free, supportive services & products to breast cancer patients in active treatment.

•Larimer Humane Society- giving warmth, compassion, and love to northern Colorado's lost, abandoned, and neglected animals.
•Murphy Center for Hope -facilitates collaboration among independent agencies that offer an array of services for individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless

•Kindness Packages for Health Care workers – funds may go toward purchase of profession care service, food and other goodies for our frontline healthcare workers

Here’s how the challenge works:  *Official Challenge has concluded!

1) Register for the challenge by offering a donation of any size. Suggested donation is $15, but feel free to donate more if you can.

2) Choose from a list of random kindness ideas below, and spread kindness throughout your community.

3) EARN POINTS for each act of kindness and for donations in increments of $25. Keep track of all the Random Acts of Kindness and tally your score.  We'll collect those tally's and announce the winners at the party (Please also email and tell me some of the incredible things you’re doing so I can share with the team)

4) Share this link with your friends, families and colleagues! https://gofund.me/a1d77204

…it’s that easy!

At the end of the challenge on January 1, we'll begin to tally the scores. The six winners (Individuals or families with most points) will be able to direct an equal portion of all the donations collected to one of the six selected non-profits and causes. You will also be included in the ceremonial "Big Check Giving" presentation to the non-profit you choose below.

The non-profits and causes that will benefit from your donations this year include:

Crossroads Safehouse-providing shelter, outreach and prevention for victims of domestic violence and interpersonal abuse
Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County- provide a safe environment where kids can learn, play and grow.

Larimer Humane Society- giving warmth, compassion, and love to northern Colorado's lost, abandoned, and neglected animals.
Murphy Center for Hope -facilitates collaboration among independent agencies that offer an array of services for individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless
•Kindness Packages for Health Care workers – funds may go toward purchase of profession care service, food and other goodies for our frontline healthcare workers

We will have an end of challenge party in January to celebrate and recognize the winners…however, this is one challenge where everyone is a winner! (Date, Time and Special Location to be announced)

So, please link hands with us this holiday season and help us to promote kindness and joy throughout the community.
