The purpose of the fundraiser is to keep the Esperanza Community Center doors open so that we can continue to provide the needed programs and services now offered primarily to Latino residents in the Northwood area, many of whom are women and children. We recently encountered problems with ongoing use of the existing space at 3600 Broadway, due largely to having so many community members wanting to access the Esperanza Center support services and education programs that they are disturbing other building tenants. Our solution is to rent additional space in the building, which will allow us to expand and strengthen the services we currently provide.

The programs and services that the Center is providing benefit not just those participating in them, but the broader community overall. Losing our ability to offer these services due to not having the space from which to operate would be a significant loss with substantial negative impacts affecting many in West Palm Beach's northend.

Recientemente encontramos problemas con el uso continuo del espacio existente en 3600 Broadway, debido en gran parte a que tantos miembros de la comunidad desean acceder a los servicios de apoyo y programas educativos del Centro Esperanza, que están molestando a otros inquilinos del edificio. Nuestra solución es alquilar espacio adicional en el edificio, lo que nos permitirá ampliar y fortalecer los servicios que brindamos actualmente.

Los programas y servicios que brinda el Centro benefician no solo a quienes participan en ellos, sino a la comunidad en general. Perder nuestra capacidad para ofrecer estos servicios debido a que no tenemos el espacio desde el cual operar sería una pérdida significativa con impactos negativos sustanciales que afectarían a muchos en el norte de West Palm Beach.
