Black Knights Wrap Up Weekend with Solid Showing at Journeymen Round Robin

Bethlehem, Pa. - In the third tournament of the season, the Army West Point wrestling team had a solid afternoon, seeing seven cadet-athletes going undefeated.
 
How it Happened
In day two of competition on Sunday afternoon in the Journeymen Round Round Robin, the Black Knights had seven cadet athletes go undefeated. Black Knights Ethan Berginc, Shane Percelay, Ty Morris, Tanner Craig, Wolfgang Frable, Eli Pack, and Austin Kohlhofer all went undefeated.
 
In the 125-weight class, Berginc continued where he left off this weekend, going 2-0. In his first dual he defeated North Carolina State's Troy Hohman by a 6-4 decision. Berginc went on to compete against UPENN's Brady Pruett defeating Pruett with a 2-1 decision.
 
In the 141-class freshman Shane Percelay went undefeated going 3-0 against his opponents. Percelay went up against Sacred Heart's Vincent Milazzo, besting him with a 7-3 decision. Shane then went up against University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown's Caleb Morris winning by a 3-1 decision. Percelay dominated the mat, defeating Arizona State's Lou Fincher by major decision (10-1).
 
Ty Morris also saw success in the 141-weight class, Morris went 3-0. Morris first went up against Sacred Heart's Nick Demarco, defeating him by commanding 15-0 technical fall. He went on to compete against Virginia Military Institute's Ray Cmil, defeating Cmil with a fall. Morris final opponent of the day was Hofstra's Mario Biancamano. Morris bested Biancamano with a fall.
 
In the 157-weight group, Tanner Craig went 3-0 in his duals. Craig defeated Oklahoma's Cam Picklo by a medical forfeit. He then went on to defeat Bloomburg's Cade Balestrini by major decision (12-4). Craig's final opponent of the day was University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown's Nate Smith, defeating Smith by a 5-2 decision.
 
Freshman's Eli Pack and Wolfgang Frable both saw success both going 2-0. Pack's first opponent on the mat was Harvard's Nick Marcenelle, defeating him by decision (7-1). Continuing to dominate the mat, Pack faced Oklahoma's Seth Seago besting him with a fall.

Frable's first opponent of the day was Long Island's Joe Lopresti where he commanded the mat with a 10-1 major decision. Frable's final opponent of the day was VMI's Tyler Mousaw defeating him with a 7-5 decision.

Continuing Army's success, Black Knights Austin Kohlhofer went 3-0. Kohlhofer's first opponent was Bloomsburg's Tyler McCatharn with a 1:32 fall. Continuing his success, Austin defeated Ogden Atwood of University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a 6:53 fall. Still dominating the mat Kohlhofer bested Sacred Heart's Matt Walker with a fall (1:02).
