Bird's Head Haggadah, c. 1300.  Jews with the heads of birds, apparently in order to avoid violating the prohibition against graven images. Max Horkheimer linked Critical Theory to this prohibition.

Thank you for your interest. The colloquium will be an in-person event.  All seats for in-person attendance are currently filled.  However, there will be a webinar for those who would like to participate virtually.
