BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) --It's here on theMaryland Taxation and Assessment website we found records of other businesses formed by Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

A Fox45 investigation discovered in 2019 Mosby formed three businesses.

Besides Mahogany Travel, Mosby formed Mahogany Elite Consulting and Mahogany Elite Enterprises, LLC.

In an email, a spokeswoman for the City State's Attorney described Mosby's travel agency.

Zy Richardson wrote||

The travel company was formed to help under-served black families who don’t usually have the opportunity to travel outside of urban cities, so they can vacation at various destinations throughout the world at discount prices. This is a long-term venture, hence the reason why there are no clients and she has not received a single cent in revenue. There are no plans to operate the company while she is State's Attorney

State records indicate Mosby's consulting business was formed to provide consulting and legal services.

Mosby's third business is listed as a holding company.

All three businesses were formed in 2019.

Mosby only disclosed the travel agency after the Maryland Ethics Commission notified her members of the press were reviewing Mosby's ethics forms.

The Baltimore City State's Attorney signed the ethics forms under the penalty of perjury.

Mosby's businesses came to light after the Baltimore Brew reported on the nearly three months of free travel the top prosecutor took over the past two years.

The trips were sponsored by a variety of groups and organizations.

On occasion Mosby would be a speaker at one of the events.

Although the Office of the State's Attorney maintains Mosby's actions saved taxpayer money, we discovered that's not entirely true.

According to Mosby's office, the State's Attorney does not receive vacation time.

Richardson wrote|| Mosby's job requires her to be

...available 24-hours a day...

Based on that statement, we took Mosby's annual salary and divided it by 365 days.

On average Mosby was paid $652 a day by taxpayers.

In the end... The state's attorney earned just over $55,425 while traveling for the roughly three months she was physically out of the office.

As Mosby was traveling, Baltimore City saw more than 600 people killed over that same two year period.
