OpenCon Ohio 2023 Call for Proposals
Thank you for your interest in submitting a session proposal for the OpenCon Ohio 2023 event which will have live, synchronous sessions on Friday, May 19, 2023!

We welcome proposals for the following types of presentations:
  • a 5 - 10 minute prerecorded lightning talk
  • a 45 minute stand-alone interactive workshop
  • a 45 minute panel discussion
Talks should preferably be related to the themes of transformation of teaching or classroom practices, student learning, equity and access, remote learning with OER and open pedagogy, although other topics are welcome. Submissions can be made for pre-recorded lightning talks, or live interactive workshops or panel discussion (or both). If accepted, lightning talks should be prerecorded and submitted to be viewed by conference participants May 15th - May 18th, and presenters will engage with participants asynchronously on the conference web platform. Accepted live talks will be given by presenters over Zoom on May 19th.

All submissions are due on April 3rd and decisions about accepted submissions will be communicated by April 19th, if not earlier. Proposals will be evaluated according to the proposal rubric.
