Involving Families from 2021-2022 PFEP
University Park Elementary School believes in involving parents in all areas of the Title 1 program. Parent participation is our School Advisory Council (SAC) is essential to our continuous improvement and success of the program. SAC members review the School Improvement Plan, Title 1 parent and Family Engagement Plan, and the school compact. Evaluations and suggestions are gathered throughout the year after each Title I event, during the spring Title I evaluation, Annual needs assessment survey, and district surveys

How could the school encourage you to participate in more decision-making meetings about funding, materials, and programs to be used next year?

Annual Evaluation from 2021-2022 PFEP
All parents and guardians were invited to University Park's Annual Title I meeting on August 19, 2021 via zoom. This meeting happens every school year in the fall. Invitations are sent home in the backpack, posted on our website, and shared on Facebook and Peachjar. A Blackboard Connect phone and e-mail message is sent and the event is posted on the marquee.

How might parents prefer to be involved to ensure all families are aware of the Title I program and make suggests for the following year?

Supporting Partnerships from 2021-2022 PFEP
University Park's faculty and staff have a strong belief in the importance of parental involvement. Meetings and events are offered on a variety of days and times to suit varied schedules, as suggested in our most recent Title I parent survey. University Park implements actives that build the capacity for strong parental involvement. Title I funds are used to provide any needed materials for these events.
Parents are given materials and strategies to help their children with academic achievement. We have a parent resource room, which enables parents to check out helpful resources to assist their children.
We also offer parent training throughout the school year. These include Science Fair night, Math night, Literacy night, SEL night, and STEM night.
