Jericho Universal Pre-K Program
The Jericho School District is beginning Universal Pre-K (UPK) when school reopens in August, 2022. This program is state-funded and not paid for by taxpayer dollars. To be eligible for the Jericho School District’s UPK program, a child must be a Jericho School District resident and four years old on or before December 1, 2022.
The Jericho UPK program will be able to accommodate up to 54 students. The program will be open Monday through Friday and follow the same calendar as the Jericho School District. The program will run five hours a day, five days a week. Families are responsible for their own transportation – buses will not be available for the program.
If we have more than 54 families interested, a public lottery will be held to determine the 54 students who can participate in the program. Student’s names that are pulled after the first 54 will be put on a waiting list in the order their number was drawn.
The first stage to register for UPK will be to complete the form below.
After you fill out the form, you will be contacted about bringing required documents to prove residency, age, and immunizations.
Registration does not guarantee a child a place in the program. The deadline to fill out the form is May 31.
