transforms oral histories about water's past, present, and future into tangible, thought-provoking textile art.
Initiative Goals:
Build community through gathering and storytelling across racial, geographical, and generational differences.
Produce a polylingual archive of stories about water generated at the community level from around the world
which may
be leveraged by the community itself, or in the context of curriculum and research.
Build community capacity through horizontal collaboration and shared decision-making.
Transform oral histories about water's past, present, and future into tangible, textile art that prompts conversation about environmental justice.
Serve as a model for community-engaged research and knowledge production. Ensure the impact of the project is meaningful to the engaged community through co-creation.
