Poughkeepsie, NY - February 28, 2024
Pending regulatory approval, Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) is prepared to open its first branch in the Capital Region at 851 New Loudon Road in Latham this summer.
“This is a great opportunity to utilize an existing building as our first branch in the Capital Region,” said Chief Banking Officer Rick Lionhood. “This branch will offer our current members greater convenience as well as the opportunity for our staff to help even more New Yorkers improve their financial wellness.”
The credit union currently serves more than 358,000 members through 21 branches and a call center in the lower Hudson Valley region, more than 85,000 surcharge-free worldwide ATMs and a full suite of online banking services. Individuals and businesses can choose from a wide variety of deposit and loan products as well as wealth management and insurance services to help them achieve their financial goals.
Lionhood also announced the credit union is providing a $5,000 grant to the United Way of the Greater Capital Region to support programs serving the Latham area. “Our financial cooperative has always understood the importance of supporting the communities we serve,” he said. “We look forward to working with the United Way and other local partners in the Capital Region.”
