After a very successful tutoring pilot program last semester, the Kummer Center for STEM Education and the Teacher Education and Certification Department will partner to continue to provide a service to our community by offering FREE tutoring to K-12 students. Donations to support this program would be greatly appreciated. Drop-in tutoring is available Tuesday-Thursday from 3:30-6:00 pm. The form is not required for drop-in, unless you are requesting a one-on-one tutor. Drop-in and in person one-on-one tutoring will be available in Centennial Hall in Room 204 this semester, due to construction. Please visit stemcenter.mst.edu for current information.

Tutoring hours will be limited for each learner based on schedule and availability. This semester we are offering one-on-one tutoring in person or online via Zoom, and may only be available for one hour of tutoring per week per child. Zoom tutoring will be scheduled as appropriate for each student and tutor. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding and flexibility!

Please complete this form, in its entirety, if you are interested in a one-on-one tutor for your child. We will email you when a tutor, matching your request, is available along with information about location or Zoom link. You are welcome to request tutoring for more than one child, but you must fill out a separate form for each child.

My contact information will be provided to a Teacher Ed staff member/student tutor who will be helping your child.

Any S&T student, who has signed up to be a tutor, will undergo a Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) background check before they begin tutoring.

All Zoom sessions with my child will be recorded for student/tutor safety and will be made available to both the parent/guardian of the student and the Teacher Education department chair.

The department chair may ask the parent/guardian and students for an evaluation and confirmation of tutoring hours.

All information provided will be kept confidential including identity, grades, questions, etc.

A teacher education faculty member may observe the tutoring session.

The tutor will not be able to contact your child's teacher with any questions.
