Hello! My name is Anthony Zaragoza and I am excited to read your application for this course. First and VERY important, YOU MUST FILL OUT ALL REQUIRED QUESTIONS, or the form will not let you go forward to the next section. The Required questions are the ones with the little RED ASTERISK.

You probably don't want to do this application on your phones; you'll be typing a bit. You will want to write longer answers some where else first (like a google doc), save them, and then paste them into the form.

In this class we will study the fundamentals of knowledge, composition, and analysis. We will learn about how we think through what we have learned in our lives and to try to summarize our most important pieces of knowledge. In this class we will ask: What have been the most important things I’ve learned in my life? in this application you’ll start by developing a long list of things you’ve learned. Then in the class, we’ll reflect on these. We’ll write about them. We’ll process them in a variety of ways, and we will narrow them down to 10 and then 5 and finally down to 1. At each stage we’ll repeat this process of reflection and deepening and there will be a composition due.
