Below is a preliminary vision for the committees within this professional organization. We will rely of your input and feedback to determine the vision for these committees going forward.
Pedagogy/Educational - This committee will focus on best practices for McNair Scholars Programs programming as well as Professional Development for McNair Staff.
National McNair Journal – This Committee will focus on creating and implementing an Academic Journal for McNair Scholars and Alumni.
Legislative - This Committee will work with COE and other groups on local, state, and federal policies affecting McNair and TRIO.
Communications and Media Platform - This committee will work on communications with the organization, the larger McNair Community and community partners. This committee will also help formulate any Public Relations strategies.
Evaluations and Outcomes – This committee will focus on collecting and reporting data on McNair Scholars Programs, as well as evaluating potential best practices.
Governance Committee – This committee will focus on creating, updating, and enforcing the organization’s constitution and by-laws.
Financial Affairs - responsible for establishing and maintaining MAP’s fiscal policies and procedures and for otherwise monitoring all fiscal matters pertinent to the MAP’s activities.
Nominations and Elections - identifies and actively recruits MAP members to run for the various MAP offices
