Cloud Based Research in Higher Education
This survey is being conducted to gather information about cloud based  research computing needs in the Northeastern region.  We are planning a series of workshops and the information that you provide will help us design a program that will meet your needs.  Please answer as completely as possible.
The definition of cloud varies. We recognize a common definition and shared language of what is meant by cloud should be more widely established. For purposes of this workshop the NIST definition is used.

NIST definition of Cloud computing: Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction
