Our current Track-It Web 11.4.1.558 server uses the password reset feature for our external users that are not within our domain, to be able to reset their AD password on our domain from a PC within a different domain. We use this feature very often and don't want to lose it. This feature appears to be dropped moving forward after version 11.x. Will the feature be added back on any of the newer versions ?
It is still on our road-map but there are other priorities ahead of it.
I will add that "Software License Management" is our only remaining requirement before upgrading to the new version. Track-IT works as our software auditing system to know our license counts for licensing purposes.
Am I understanding the chart right? That the current Track-IT 2019 Release 3 does not offer the ability to get license counts of software installed on workstations? (We use the "TIAgentAudit.exe" software via login script)
Same for us, and if it does not come soon, we are really starting to feel the pain of this legacy software, hopefully they get it in there.
That's correct. If you use that functionality you would either need to stay with Track-It! 11 until that feature is developed on the new version or use the license management features inside Client Management (which comes with Track-It! 2019).
When the survey will be available on the new version?
Currently Survey can be done using an integration with Survey Monkey and using the URL for the survey in a Track-It! Business Rule. Survey is on the roadmap as well but there is no date available.
oh ok, I see Survey Monkey charge a fee for the service. Why we're going to pay additional for a service that it was included in your system?
Survey Monkey has a free option and they also have great tools for creating surveys. This is simply a work around if you have already moved to Track-It! 2019 or wish to move before Survey is completed.
Ok, I'll check it out. Thank you Cris.
Also, What about Audit Trail and Data segregation for other modules will be available?
We need to make sure that each department has access to view tickets on their own department only and not other departments.
Is there any update on the release date for the Round Robin feature, and data segregation of Asset Management?
I am sorry but there are no updates available at this time. You may want to head over to community.trackit.com and log an Idea for the specific request. Data segregation today is based on groups and there are no groups assigned to assets so we would need more info on exactly what you need.
Is there an estimated timeline for announcing the Track-It! Release schedule in 2020?
Hey Jonathan, we do not publish external release date schedules in advance because things like changing customer requests, shifting priorities, quality control requirements, security requirements, market conditions, etc. etc. etc. always impact those plans. Announcing specific release dates far in advance would only cause frustration for everyone when those dates move due to one or more of the factors mentioned above. That said, I can tell you we currently target 3 to 4 month release cycles which equates to roughly a release a quarter or 3 to 4 releases per year.
Hi, Jonathan. Thanks for contacting us! We have forwarded your input to the writer who is responsible for this content.
