Why participate in our mentorship program?

“I enjoyed the opportunity to give back to younger supply chain practitioners, by providing connections within my network, valuable learning moments I experienced during my career, and areas of recommended development that were particularly valuable for me in my career and personal growth. Conversations we had around these areas helped my mentee navigate the growth, challenges, and career opportunities she was experiencing. It was also valuable for me as it allowed me to reflect on and assess my growth as a supply chain practitioner through the process. A mutually valuable experience made available by CSCMP!”
Jason Smeak
AVP, Global Supply Chain & Logistics, AECOM

“The most valuable thing about participating in the mentorship program is that I ended up with a trustworthy friend with whom I can freely express my thoughts related to my career path, work-life balance and much more. I have learned that it is important to seize the opportunity when it comes to you, rather than “wait for the next train to put you on the right track”.  I have grown both vertically and diagonally within my organization by accepting the Serialization Manager Role and leaving my former position of Senior Plant Coordinator in External Supply. ”
Cristina Timus
Manger, SZN External Supply Operations, Pfizer

“As a mentor, the thing that I found most valuable was the opportunity to develop professional relationships, share career experiences, and have meaningful dialogue with others outside of my normal sphere of influence, about career challenges that are facing professionals as they pursue their careers in today’s business climate.

The most important thing I learned from being a mentor was that there is a need for those of us who have been out in the marketplace for a while, to plug into mentorship programs such as CSCMP to uplift and encourage the next generation of leaders. ”

VP, Data Science, Trew Automation
