About this event

To celebrate Coffee Day, the Alumni Sustainability Coalition would like to invite you to their virtual event: Coffee Sustainability.

Learn about the origins of coffee and how to do a coffee tasting with Alumni Sustainability Coalition President, Dae Durisko. Hear from the President of MotMot Coffee, Andrew Gao, as he talks about their student-led, ethical, fair and direct trade nonprofit coffee company based in Seattle and their ultimate goal to return 100% of their profits to their coffee farmers. Lastly, you'll hear from Eashudee Lucero, a recent alumna who was able to visit a coffee plantation in Coorg through a study abroad program, where she learned about sustainable ways to harvest coffee and how it compares to other ways of harvesting coffee.
