House of Scarlett

I found I skipped through quite a lot of this book. It was all quite dull. I kept reading wondering when the book was going to reach its climax. Other than finishing the book on a very predictable cliff hanger, not much happened. The plot was sort of all over the place and Scarlett's character has very little substance. I didn't enjoy much about this book at all but preserved and read it all in the hopes it would get better. I'm a Meghan March fan so I'm disappointed this one was such a let down. I didn't think much of the first book either. This whole trilogy seems rushed and as though the plot wasn't well planned.

House of Scarlett gives us a different side of Gabriel Legend.....a side I am thankful we get to “see”. It’s also where we get to see Gabriel and Scarlett develop their relationship and work through all the walls the get erected in their lives. One thing I know going into Ms. March’s books, I’m getting a story with so many dynamics and a couple that has to work for what they want.....each other.

4.5 stars You know those stories that have you so invested that you don’t even realize that you’ve reached the end until you can’t turn anymore pages? That’s how engrossed I was! The Fall off Legend was just the introduction of sorts. The House of Scarlet is where we get into the really good stuff! We get more of their relationship, more of the turbulence and ups and downs. We learn alot more about Legend which I was so happy about. He was a bit of a mystery previously. But the ending... of Ms. March. Whatever will we do with you....I love and loathe these types of endings all together. You want to scream and continue reading to find out what happens. These are the endings that guarantee you come back for more!!
