Dr. Choolwe Nkwemu Jacob

Global Chapters Leader

Choolwe Nkwemu Jacobs, Women in Global Health, Global Chapters Leader, is a Public Health Specialist and Social Epidemiologist with extensive engagement in Global Health. She is a co-founder and country lead for Women in Global Health Zambia Chapter. She is an advocate for gender and health equity, an academician and researcher with over fifteen years of experience working with government and different United Nations agencies on Gender, Sexual Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH), HIV/AIDS and non-communicable diseases. Dr Jacobs has expertise in gender equity in leadership and health access and health equity outcomes and utilisation of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH).  She studied at University of Zambia, University of Otago in New Zealand, University of Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa, Johns Hopkins University in USA and currently a LEAD fellow at Harvard University USA.
