Sarah Mouser, CFP®, CES™, CTS™, is the Director of Financial Planning at Cassaday & Company, Inc. and has been with the firm since 2014. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Sarah works directly with the firm’s financial advisory team to develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies. As the financial landscape changes, she continuously stays ahead of the curve to ensure our service offerings meet our clients’ individualized planning needs to deliver integrated and holistic advice. While Sarah works with our clients in all aspects of their financial plan, she specializes in helping with estate and legacy planning, tax management, education planning strategies, and proactive planning on the topics of aging and dementia. She also manages the training and development of Cassaday & Company, Inc.’s future generation of financial planners.

Sarah brings over 20 years of experience in the financial planning and investment management industry to the firm, working with high net worth professionals, business owners, and retirees. Sarah is a Certified Estate and Trust Specialist™ (CES™) and a Certified Tax Specialist (CTS™), professional financial services designations granted by the Institute of Business & Finance to those who can provide basic and advanced guidance on a wide range of estate, postmortem, and tax planning concerns. Prior to joining Cassaday & Company, Inc., she was a financial advisor for a prominent wealth management firm in the D.C. metro area and also spent many years as a lead planner with an investment advisory firm in Richmond, Virginia.

Sarah is not only a resource to Cassaday clients, but the media as well. As a Forbes.com and Advisor Perspectives contributor, Sarah is able to share insight on planning topics most important to today’s investors. She has been quoted by prominent industry publications such as Barron’s and Financial Advisor Magazine, and has been called upon by leading industry outlets to speak to the nation’s top advisors. Sarah is a member of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area, as well as the Association of Certified College Funding Specialists® and National Institute of Certified College Planners®. She volunteers her time and expertise on the Board of Directors for Insight Memory Care Center, a nonprofit adult day health and resource center in Fairfax, Virginia, which provides specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments, as well as support and education for their families, caregivers, and the community. Sarah graduated with a degree in financial planning from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and is actively involved with the National Capital Region Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.

Sarah currently lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband David, and in her free time enjoys teaching barre-based fitness classes as a certified instructor.
