Speaker Bios:

Lauren Rottler is a Business Operations and Human Resources Strategist in the Enterprise Services Division, Cost Analysis and Program Evaluation, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of Defense. She is focused on leveraging available data to inform human resources practices and policies, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. Ms. Rottler previously served as the HR Data Analytics and Reporting Program Manager for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Commerce where she provided reports and analysis of human resources data to enable data driven decision making. She has also worked at the Department of Justice and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She holds a Master of Business Analytics from Iowa State University, Master’s of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology from the University of Virginia.

Min-Jung Gantt is currently at the US Department of Defense working as an Operations Research Analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation. Previously, her roles were within the Department of the Navy from an Acquisition Intern to Business Office Transformation Team Branch Head. The experiences acquired in moving up the ranks and defending fact-based independent analyses to Senior Navy leadership has made her a great fit at the OSD level. Min-Jung received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Armstrong Atlantic State University and Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences at Clemson University.

Alejandro de la Puente delivers analysis and decision support as an Operations Research Analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation. Previously, Alejandro served as Associate Director of Science Alliance at the New York Academy of Sciences. In this role, he developed and delivered career development programs and opportunities for graduate students and early career professionals. A researcher in theoretical physics, Alejandro started his career in public service working in education policy and programs as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellowship in the Education and Human Resources Directorate at the National Science Foundation. Alejandro’s passion is to help young STEM students and professionals achieve their full potential, while increasing diversity and inclusivity in the STEM ecosystem in the U.S. and wider world. Alejandro received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics at Florida International University and his PhD at the University of Notre Dame du Lac.
