This could include abandoned lots, sidewalk strips, neglected areas, or even private property not being used for its intended purpose. Guerrilla gardeners aim to improve their communities by planting flowers, food, or other plants in public spaces. 🏞

🌇 As cities` populations continue to increase, temperatures rise, and wildlife is pushed out due to settlements, industry, and agriculture, it is crucial to green our cities to mitigate these effects. Plants can help reduce air pollution, alleviate the urban heat island effect, which contributes to lethal heat waves, and provide habitats and food for insects, birds, and animals essential to the web of life.

🏡 Guerrilla gardening can take many forms, from planting flowers along a roadside to creating a community garden in a vacant lot. Some guerrilla gardeners focus on growing food in urban areas where fresh produce is unavailable, while others seek to create wildlife habitats or address environmental issues like air pollution. 💨
