Arabic Bilingual Program
The Arabic Bilingual Program provides opportunities for students to study the Arabic language as part of their regular school day at elementary and secondary school levels.

Spanish Dual Language Program
Students of both Spanish and English language backgrounds benefit from participating in this program. Students learn to read, write, and speak proficiently in two languages, with near native skill by the time they complete fifth grade.

You will submit one (1) application for the Spanish Dual Language Program and for elementary school indicate the preferred school.
Hindi Bilingual Program
We are excited to introduce our Hindi Bilingual Program for incoming Kindergarten students in 2024-2025 for students in and out of Bellevue School District! This unique program offers students the opportunity to learn the Hindi language during regular school day while studying other core subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts which will be taught in English. The primary goal of this program is to celebrate both culture and language, fostering a positive sense of identity.

Korean Bilingual Program

Newport Heights Elementary

Mandarin Dual Language Program
Jing Mei teaches Mandarin Chinese and English using dual language two-way immersion model. Two-way immersion means student enrollment in the classes is balanced between native Mandarin speakers and Non-Mandarin speakers.

Spanish Immersion Program (ISA)
Students at Puesta del Sol are taught the standard Bellevue School District curriculum but receive instruction in Spanish. Classroom teachers have native or near-native ability in the Spanish language and are chosen for their skills and their commitment to the goals of the program.

Big Picture School
Big Picture School fosters academic relationships, personalized experiences, and inclusion for all students. Students are independent, driven and self-motivated learners that are eager to explore potential career fields through internships while discovering their true passion.
Big Picture School will accept waitlist applications from nonresident students, priority is given to Bellevue School District resident students.
International School
International School serves students in grades 6-12 who attend classes in a block schedule that encompasses seven subjects throughout their seven years at the school. Students complete an extensive capstone Senior Project, which involves deep learning in an area of student choice, internships, community service, and assessment by an expert panel. Student study French and Fine Arts (band, orchestra or chorus and visual arts) as their electives for all seven years.
Choice School Waitlist Application
If your student is not entry grade level, they may apply to the existing waitlist. New applicants will be placed on the bottom of the appropriate waitlist by their current grade level in the order received for possible entry in the fall for the upcoming school year. Students applying for language programs will be required to pass an appropriate grade level language proficiency screening if they are offered a spot at the school/program. Entry grade level students should apply during the Choice School Application process which runs from mid-December to mid-January. Students who miss the application period may apply to the waitlist after the fact.
