From now on I’m on board with reading your books. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘🌹📚
I enjoyed reading this story. There is intrigue and so many secrets left to uncover. Plus, I have so many questions. Who is Bishop Blackstone? What is the danger lurking in the dark? What secrets is Clementine hiding? And what was Joseph Prince thinking when he left his will? I’m looking forward to reading Groom and discovering more.

This book was fantastic. I loved the dark theme. I loved the secrecy. I loved the love/hate between Gabriel and Clementine. There is just something about their relationship that just oozes sensuality. Even though they have not touched each other. I can feel it in my bones there is something building. And just enough hints to keep you interested. I am super excited to start the 2nd part. This book has me absolutely intrigued and it really drew me in.
Since this was only part 1, and not that long, I'm just getting into Gabriel and Clementine. But from what I've read so far- it's really setting the stage. I can't wait. I loved everything about this book. We also had the pleasure of meeting Tennyson (Clementine's son). I loved his name. I hope he'll take on a more significant role in part 2. But he's only 4 so I can understand if he doesn't.
I can't praise this book enough. It really has me hooked.

While it was fairly short and easy to read, it is also a forgettable one. Chance didn't bring anything new on the table. He wrote what has already been written countless times. To spice it up, a suspense element has also been added to the story line. Though calling it a true suspense would be too much. I was able to figure it out easily enough. On the hot meter as well, it rated really low.
I doubt that I will read 'Groom'. Maybe I'll just flip it to check whether my guess about that suspense was right or not.
