I am on a reading kick today and read two of Jeannie Moon's books. I had read this before when it was released.

Harper Poole has an MBA from Harvard and is a high-powered assistant who runs the day to day operations for Jason Campbell's multi-billion dollar software company. She has everything she wants except for the love of a good man. But, Harper has more than one secret she is keeping and it could blow her life and career out of the water.

Kevin Rossi is a superstar major league catcher who had a brief affair with the beautiful and sexy Harper. Kevin feels Harper is the one for him but he selfishly places his career first and accepts a baseball contract that takes him from New York to California...and away from Harper.

When their secret affair results in a pregnancy, Harper decides to keep this information from Kevin. She understands him well enough to know he would feel trapped and that is not her intention. The high-powered, emotionless Harper has fallen deeply in love with her baby girl. A year after the affair Harper runs into Kevin at a business event and is taken aback by the very sight of him. Her heart slams into her chest and words escape her. When she finds out he is back to stay she must make a decision about her daughter's involvement with her father. Although she feels terrible for keeping the baby a secret from Kevin she also remembers how he continually stressed that he did not want to be tied down in a relationship or to have a family while he was still playing ball and he most definitely made Harper very aware of how he felt. What was a woman to do after the man she cares so deeply for tells her this and moves across the country?

This story was just so-so with a lot I did not like about it. Mainly the hero and how stupid he was. It was nice to see Harper in this light but I think the author went too far to the other side with her character. I knew there was more to her than what I saw in 'The Temporary Wife: A Forever Love Story' and 'Unexpectedly Yours: A Forever Love Story.' It was heartwarming to view the deep devoted love she had for her daughter and the vulnerability that appeared whenever she thought of or was around Kevin.

Kevin's character troubled and disappointed me greatly with his actions, reactions and his inaction towards Harper. He was nothing but a jerk and an a$$ through the whole book until the very end. I almost got to the point where I despised him because he would get angry at her for something stupid and then walk out on her, leaving her to suffer alone, sometimes days and another time weeks. There were times I wish she had never told him the few secrets she held close and that he ignorantly would react ridiculously awful and was very demeaning to her. To me, all he was good at was baseball and a being a man-whore extraordinaire. When she needed him the most...he went AWOL...twice. I had high hopes he would be more sensitive, understanding and supporting, showing a maturity that unfortunately he had not obtained in his 35 years on earth. He was with other women during their one year separation and that never sits well with me, while she was faithful to him. He actually made himself look like a very dim bulb with zero common sense and totally ignorant of relationships. I found it unacceptable when all of the sudden he forgets about the poor choices he has made in his own life and his years of man-whoring around. That made me very sad for Harper and Anna. For these reasons I could not give the book anything higher than a two-star rating. In the end he is once again likeable but I wish it had happened sooner. In my eyes he was not redeemed and that is something that troubles me. He needed to grovel and beg one-hundred times more than his little ' I'm sorry' which was pathetic at best.

We also got to catch up with Jason, Meg, Josh, Caroline and Mrs. Rossi.

I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. All in all I struggled to get through this book but it was such a let down after books one and two.

A secret baby story by Jeannie Moon, and it’s on sale?!?! Guess how quickly I hit that one-click purchase button?

However...

I usually love Ms. Moon’s books, but this time I didn’t really care for much of anything in this book. Not her baseball playing, playboy hero, not the self-important, independent heroine, and not the redundant, “too much pecs, not enough plot” writing.

Harper and Kevin had a brief, secret fling a year ago. It started at Kevin’s sister’s wedding, and ended a couple months later when Harper broke things off because...actually, I can’t remember now. But I do remember that when she discovered she was pregnant, she decided not to tell Kevin because he’d just been traded to a baseball team on the other side of the country, and she didn’t want to trap him into being a father.

But now Kevin has been traded back to New York and Harper knows she needs to come clean because they will be running into each other frequently (Harper works for Kevin’s brother-in-law). Of course, when Kevin finds out he has a three month old child, he’s ticked off - big time. Throws an ornament, breaks a vase, stomps out the door mad. (Did I mention he’s a 35 year old man? I use the term “man” loosely...)

When he finally comes around, many days later, they kiss and make up. Well, that’s not all they do, but you catch my drift. Their secret relationship is now out of the bag, and they are picking up right where they left off, both physically, and relationship-wise - that is, without really having a defined relationship.

Then both of them realize their feelings are getting stronger, but neither of them is willing to ACT LIKE AN ADULT and talk about it. When Kevin realizes Harper hasn’t been forthcoming about her childhood, he has another tantrum. At least he didn’t break anything this time, but he did stomp out and slam the door. But really, when was she supposed to have spilled her guts to him? They never actually talk since they’re too busy rolling around in bed.

Harper is sad she lost “the love of her life” and everyone is telling her to “give Kevin time,” and then Kevin realizes he can’t live without Harper so he makes a plan for his “grand gesture.” Then they live happily ever after.

I’m frankly not sure how I even managed to finish this book because of all the issues I had.

For starters, the hero who didn’t ever want a serious relationship. Had he been bereft and sullen since he’d left the heroine, I might have been okay with him. But nope. They had a hot and heavy fling, he went to the other coast to play ball, and only started thinking about the heroine again once she was back in his orbit. Even though he kept trying to call her for a couple months after she broke things off, he doesn’t get points in my book because he never told the heroine how he felt about her.

And the heroine. Sigh. I wanted to like her. But one, she didn’t really have any good reason for not telling the hero she was pregnant, and two, she seems to live her personal life driven by her hormones (and I ain’t talking about the ones she has from being postpartum). Use your head, sister! By all accounts you’re incredibly smart in your work life, be that way in your personal life as well. Harper kept calling Kevin “the perfect man.” Yet he kept getting mad at her, stomping away, and staying away for days or weeks at a time. That’s how a perfect man behaves?!?! (Just to be clear...it’s not the getting mad part I have issues with, since Harper deserved it.)

Also, the writing fell into my writing pet peeve...constantly talking about hot hawt the hero is, and how because he’s so hawt he can be forgiven for all sorts of less-than-desirable behavior. I’m so tired of reading books where a heroine is mad at the hero for behaving like an ass, but she’s willing to ignore it because he “looks like a Greek god.” (What the hell does that even mean, anyway?) My reading motto: less pecs, more plot.

How much I disliked this book really surprised me. I’ve read two other secret baby books by Jeannie Moon and REALLY liked them, so to barely be able to get through this one was majorly disappointing. This book was even rated highly by some other reviewers who I usually agree with, so my reaction to this story has been puzzling. The Secret Wedding was one of her earlier books, so I’m chalking this one up to “needed to grow as an author” and staying away from the rest of the series.

Firstly, the cover... ugh, didn’t like it, not representative, & would’ve never read this if not for a friend. Good thing b/c surprised that I liked it as much as I did. (Didn’t re-read blurb b4 starting so forgot about the ‘secret baby’ trope. -__-)

Still, The Wedding Secret would make a perfect beach read—engagingly well-written, sweet & sexy w/ nice amount of angst & likeable main, as well as secondary, characters. Oh, and a scene which was a nod to the Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th Street. :)

Rated ★★★½ (not rounded up or higher b/c some quibbles & the Epilogue was a tad too OTT for me).

**Note: A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

My feelings on this book are somewhat mixed. On the one hand, it's kind of a hot mess and I found myself taking notes that had "WTF" somewhere in them quite frequently while reading. On the other hand, I liked the author's voice and was intrigued by the tropes she used enough that I went back and bought her first two books and ended up really enjoying them.

So, this book. It's a secret baby romance. I kind of get a perverse glee about secret baby romances. I think they're hard to sell because keeping a baby's paternity a secret from it's father is such a dick move and a betrayal of trust that it's hard to build a relationship on that. But I sure do like the drama and angst that ensues when people try.

This was kind of a mediocre secret baby romance. The heroine, Harper, comes off like the biggest asshole on the face of the earth for at least the first third and it makes zero sense that she'd keep the father in the dark. I thought the author did a decent job of eventually making Harper sympathetic but it took too damn long and was a bit too little too late.

My biggest problem with this book, however, is that I really took issue with the hero, Kevin, being made to feel like he was in fault at least partly for Harper not telling him about her pregnancy. Not only does this reek of victim-blaming, but it also undermines the shit out of the heroine and her choices.

Sorry. I got rage face there for a moment. I was so not down with that. That rationalization pissed me off and wasn't even necessary.

But, then Kevin ruins any sympathy I had for him by going off the rails for no good reason and apparently loosing his goddamn mind. What the hell is wrong with all these people, I would really like to know.

And now this review is too long and I totally don't have time to rant the way I'd like about how hillbillies from Pittsburgh would never ever describe themselves as having a "southern drawl" because PENNSYLVANIA IS NOT IN THE SOUTH. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT. SIGH.

Anyway, I didn't like this book but I definitely couldn't put it down.

I was so excited when I discovered Jeannie Moon's third book in her Forever Love Story series would be about the elusive and enigmatic, Harper Poole. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and am happy to say THE WEDDING SECRET does not disappoint! I loved this story and could not put it down until it was done.

Harper is a complex woman and a fascinating character. We know from The Temporary Wife and Unexpectedly Yours she is an extremely independent, intelligent, take charge woman who solves problems and never shows a vulnerable side. She is also very loyal to the people she likes and trusts. In The Wedding Secret we learn about her background, which displays just how strong and capable she is, and we see her as a mother, which proves she has a softer side and a huge capacity for love. She is not perfect, but she owns her choices and stands by her reasoning. She also makes amends and humbly accepts the fallout when her secrets come out. I loved Harper's character!!

Kevin Rossi, professional baseball catcher and older brother to Meg and Caroline, has been living the life of a player both on and off the field with no intention of settling down and starting a family. He and Harper have a very hot, but secret affair that started at his sister Caroline's wedding and ends when he tells Harper he's signed a contract to play for a team on the other side of the country. Harper, having no desire to trap him with an unexpected and unplanned family, decides not to tell him she's pregnant with his child and let's him go.

The story really takes off when Kevin comes back to New York with hopes of starting back up with Harper. It seems he fell hard for her and even a year away was not enough to get over her. Harper also fell hard for Kevin and was devastated when he chose to leave, so she isn't ready to trust him with her heart a second time. Despite the insane chemistry between these two - and now a baby girl - pride, stubbornness, hurt feelings, confusion, and a myriad of other emotions and events keep them apart. The Rossi sisters and their husbands, the Campbell brothers do their best to interfere as well. Plus the drama that is Harper's own family that she has been able to keep at a distance and a secret all this time, has arrived at her front door, adding to the mix. None of it makes working out their feelings for one another pleasant or easy for either of them, but it does make for an incredibly engaging story. Ms. Moon masterfully takes us through the ups and downs, showing the great depth in the very real and justified feelings of everyone involved, especially once all of Harper's secrets start to come out. This story deals with some serious issues, but is also laced with plenty of humor and none too few sexy scenes because despite their situation, Kevin and Harper are crazy about each other and can't keep their hands to themselves. In the end it was all worth it to see Harper get a well-deserved HEA. Overall a fantastic read and I am hoping not the last book in this wonderful series. 4.5 stars.

From her very first book author Jeannie Moon blew me away with the way she draws the reader into the story and makes them feel a part of it. So even though this book features one of my biggest pet peeves in romance, I still very much enjoyed it mainly because I loved the cast in this story especially the hero’s mother. The Wedding Secret was entertaining and at times frustrating but it also had me laughing out loud.
Harper Poole really let go one time in her life and the result while shocking isn’t something she’ll ever regret. However, a year later her life just got even more complicated when her boss’ brother in law and her best friend’s brother moves back to town. To top it off her mother is putting pressure on her and she feels her life is about to blow up in her face and everything she’s worked so hard for will disappear.
Kevin Rossi loves being back in New York and having his family around but he’s really excited when he see Harper again after being gone for 8 months. Their fling isn’t something he’s been able to forget and he hopes to start up where they left off, but Harper seems to want nothing to do with him and he aims to find out why.
This couple shared a secret tryst for several months before Kevin left town to play professional baseball across the country, so when they reconnect it’s not surprising they pick up pretty quickly on the physical but there are extenuating circumstances that keep them from moving forward. They both made mistakes and continue to make mistakes which led to me wanting to pop them both upside the head on numerous occasions but even with that I still loved this story. Harper has a lot and I do mean a lot of skeletons in her closet making it hard for her to trust and to fully give herself over to someone yet Kevin just seems to keep breaking down her walls and proving that he wants to be the one she can trust. While I’d like to say it was smooth sailing it was far from it and Kevin made some pretty big errors in judgment something his family is quick to jump on him about. Harper isn’t without her own flaws and mistakes and it takes a great deal for these two to figure out a way to move past it all to be together.
The one thing I’ve always loved about this author’s books is the characters. From the main characters to all the secondary characters they just keep you enthralled. In this book some of the best and funniest lines are delivered by the hero’s mother. I love a mom who isn’t afraid to call out her child when he’s being a total bonehead!
The Wedding Secret was easy to enjoy with its crazy plot, supreme sexiness, and characters that keep you guessing and laughing. This is another fantastic author from author Jeannie Moon who has become a fast favorite of mine!

The Deal: Harper Poole has never done romance well, and she certainly isn't looking for a long-term relationship when she hooks up with pro baseball player Kevin Rossi at his sister's wedding.

Harper has plenty to keep herself busy with as the right-hand woman of the CEO of a software company (who also happens to be married to Kevin's other sister), but after a few dates she almost feels like she is in a relationship, until she suddenly pulls the plug on Kevin and he takes a contract to play across the country.

A year later, Harper has had a baby but hasn't told anyone who the father is and is trying her best to balance work and taking care of her daughter, when she suddenly runs into Kevin at a work event and realizes she shouldn't have kept him in the dark about their daughter for so long.

But when she tells him, things don't go as expected.

My Thoughts: The Wedding Secret is my second time reading Ms Moon and I can say that I liked it better than The Temporary Wife but it was far from perfect. See, both Kevin and Harper are quite nice and Harper has an interesting life and backstory, as she isn't the rich, trust fund type her Harvard education would suggest. She has many layers and I liked getting to know her.

She knows she messed up and tries to make things right. Kevin isn't a bad guy per se but he is very insensitive at times and acts like a baby sometimes. So do the rest of his family, they are so offended Harper didn't tell them who her baby's daddy was and treat her badly as a result (it even jeopardizes her job, at which she has never been anything but efficient, because her boss' wife, Meg, gets mad at Harper).

It just seemed really silly to me. And it really bothers me because, having read a previous book in the series, I know all of those people who got mad at Harper had far from perfect records, but got very judgy against her very fast.

Other than that is actually a very readable book.

The third book in the Forever Love series, but is a good stand-alone. Though, I think reading the first 2 in the series will increase your enjoyment of this one. There are characters here that I would have loved to have more of a back-story so I will look for book 1 and 2 and then re-read. Harper and Kevin’s relationship was really not much more that a fling for both of them…neither was ready for a long –term commitment in the beginning but I felt that neither was averse to the idea either. Fast forward a year…and he is confronted by a lie of omission in the tiny person of his child – that he did not know he fathered. The reconciliation he was angling for just got more complicated. But not impossible. Harper and Kevin have to work through mistrust, misconceptions and familiar interference but I think their struggle made them tougher, better. Their journey was enjoyable and engaging. Though some reactions, on either side, flabbergasted me, it made it all the more real.

Loved the heroine

But our Hero? He was an indecisive jerk most the way through. Did get the requisite HEA, but it was touch and go

The Hero is too selfish, spoilt, self-centered... The heroine is too weak for a supposedly tough, driven and successful career woman. His family has to practically pushed him to apologize to her... TWICE.. and no grovelling... There was a promise that he would come and beg her for forgiveness.. but he came and she forgive him just like that. Where's the begging? The grovelling? Or a realization that he needs to apologise for being unfair?

Better and Better

The Wedding Secret is, yet again in the Forever Love Story series (#3), a terrific tale. Love, crazy attraction, bull-headitness, success against unbelievable odds, and family. I loved reading this book, grabbing every second available cause I couldn't pit it dowm.

I read the first two other books first. I recommend you do the same thing.

Kudos to Jeannie Moon!!!!!

Harper's reinvented!

Harper has succeeded in her career through determination to better herself through education, career choices and a new life direction. Kevin is so focused on his career in baseball that he sends the wrong message and it causes Harper to hide her child's paternity. When it is revealed, a time of acceptance and healing is needed.
Beautifully written story and a delight to read.

Not for me!

Soooo boring! Just sex and high school dating drama. It was like watching a bad soap opera. The events were realistic at times, not overall. I grew up on LI and you’d never make it from the city to the north shore on Thanksgiving in less than 2-3 hours. The Rossi family was another name in another series.... Brady Bunch.

My Kind of Romance

Harper and Kevin have quite the chemistry together. Overcoming the obstacles to find happiness had me cheering them on. Strong, likable and funny characters - including their families - that are the type of contemporary romance I enjoy reading.

(I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review).

The latest installment to Jeannie Moon's "Forever Love Story" ebook series focuses on Harper Poole, a successful professional whose life is turned upside down when a passionate affair with pro ball player Kevin Rossi -- her boss's brother-in-law -- results in an unplanned pregnancy. Cut to a year later when Harper is juggling her demanding career while also playing the role of single mother to her infant daughter. Kevin returns to New York, eager to reconnect with his family and to see the woman who dropped out of his life unexpectedly a year prior. He has no idea he's a father, and it turns out, that's not the only secret Harper has kept from him and his family.

The first two books in Jeannie Moon's "Forever Love Story" series really aren't required reading in order to follow "The Wedding Secret," however those who are familiar with the characters from the previous two books, and who've met Harper Poole through their eyes, may appreciate this story all the more having some pre-established investment in the characters. Not only does "The Wedding Secret" take us into the mindset of Harper and give us some insight into who she really is and how motherhood is changing her, it also offers us updates on Meg and Jason (The Temporary Wife) and Caroline and Josh (Unexpectedly Yours), all of whom are linked to the Rossi family. So there's a benefit to reading these books in order, however each book works independently, telling their own love story. "The Wedding Secret" is Harper and Kevin's.

"The Wedding Secret" wastes no time delving into the steamy side of the story, as we're introduced to the start of Harper and Kevin's romance. There's no shortage of drama beyond that point, as the bulk of the story focuses on Harper and Kevin's reconnection, which has plenty of ups and downs throughout the ride.

The romance works well here both in its steamier moments and its more emotional ones, and the added conflict related to Harper's back-story adds a bit of necessary depth and suspense. That conflict could have been stretched out even more, but works fine as it is. Beyond that, "The Wedding Secret" is a fun read that leaves off with a truly satisfying conclusion that left me smiling and eager for the next installment to the "Forever Love Story" series.

The Wedding Secret is the third book in the Forever Love Story series by Jeannie Moon. I did not know it was the third in a series until I had finished the book. It worked well as a stand alone. I never felt like I had missed something, though reading the first two might have enriched the story. I intend to go back and read them, for sure.

Harper Poole has an MBA from Harvard and is a high-powered assistant who runs the day to day operations for Jason Campbell's multi-billion dollar software company. Kevin Rossi is a superstar major league catcher who had a brief affair with Harper at his sister's wedding (they took an interesting tour of the wine cellar. They dated briefly, but didn't tell anyone, and Harper broke up with Kevin when she realized that he had no intentions of sticking around or being in a serious relationship. She decides to cut her losses and move on. She finds out that she is pregnant on the day that Kevin accepts a baseball contract that takes him from New York to California. Harper decides not to tell him because she doesn't want him to feel trapped.

Fast forward a year and we have Kevin back in New York, and Harper with a precious 3-month-old daughter, Anna. After running into Kevin a couple of times and realizing it would continue to happen, Harper decides she has to tell him about the baby.

OK, I have to say that Kevin is a "dumb jock" - as described in the book. At times I just wanted to reach into those pages and smack him just like his mother and sister's liked to do. It was a good thing they were there to keep him lined out and focused on the big picture. He would go off the rails at the most inopportune times - selfishly worrying about his own issues when it seemed that Harper and Anna needed him most.

I do not intend to spoil the story, so suffice it to say that there was enough angst and family drama to keep the pages turning at a fast pace. I really enjoyed it, and found it hard to put down. I think you will, too.

Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous.

In the two earlier books, Harper always came off as a woman with a take-no-prisoners attitude and refused to let anyone get in her way. So, it was rather surprising to learn her back story and she appear to be far more vulnerable when it came to Kevin and their daughter. We saw a glimpse of her more human side close to the end of the first book, but she wasn't the most easily likable of characters, so it was interesting to get to know all facets of her here. I liked that even though she was more open and sensitive in this third book, she still had that kickass part of her that made her the formidable woman that she is. The confrontation between her and someone from her past showed that she didn't need a knight in shining armor to come save her and that she was able to handle things on her own and do it Harper Poole-style.

One common thread that you'll find in the series so far is just how involved the Rossi family appears to be in the lives of others. Sometimes, it's cute and endearing, but there are times when it becomes overbearing and downright irritating. But it is a reflection of real life, because I'm sure we've all experienced or know of other people who have experienced having their family members and relatives all up in their business and make no apologies for butting in whenever they want to. You can grin and bear it or tell them to eff off, but, more often than not, it does come from a place of love and concern. I liked Kevin and I found myself growing to like Harper here and even though there were moments of hardheadedness on both their parts, The Wedding Secret was a good addition to the series. I'm giving this third book four stars out of five. ♥

Whew, and pass me an ice cold towel because the prologue of The Wedding Secret by Jeannie Moon is hot, steamy, and tantalizing. As a result, I was immediately drawn into the lives of successful business woman Harper Poole and professional baseball player Kevin Rossi. Their attraction is amazing and as a consequence of their loving tryst during Kevin's sister's wedding, Harper is pregnant. Nine months later, her beautiful daughter Anna is born.

Unfortunately, Kevin has no idea that he created a life. Although Harper's friends and family know about Anna, they also have no idea that Kevin is the father. Harper and Kevin kept their brief affair private, so no one even knew they were seeing each other. Since Harper has worked for Kevin's brother-in-law for a number of years, overtime, Kevin's family basically adopted Harper into their lives. In addition, with Kevin returning to town to play for the Mets, Harper has no choice but to tell him about Anna, since they keep running into each other.

The story progresses with Kevin's reaction to Anna as well as Harper's lies. Both are in turmoil, adjusting to each other and joint parenthood, while realizing that their feelings from a year ago are still alive and well.

I liked this book, in fact, the entire series is very good. Ms. Moon is a talented storyteller and her characters are well-defined, likeable and real. I appreciated how the details of Harper's personal life slowly unraveled and how her estranged mother finally came to terms with her lack of mothering, while Harper was growing up. I loved Kevin's mother, because she is a true ball-buster that does not put up with any of Kevin's griping. Overall, a fast-paced, enjoyable read.

Millionaire baseball player Kevin Rossi is quite a catch…

Harper Poole’s Harvard MBA and killer instincts have made her a high-powered assistant at a software firm that generates billions. No one would ever guess she’s been keeping a secret: that she isn't the trust fund baby everyone thinks she is, but was really raised in a trailer park in western Pennsylvania. Harper has a great life and has everything she wants—except love. But a one-night stand at a wedding with the bride’s brother can help take a girl’s mind off anything.

Kevin Rossi is a superstar major league catcher who can have any woman he wants. So when Harper discovers she’s pregnant after their one night of passion, she has no intention of making any demands on him. It will just be another secret to keep. But when the two meet again a year later, Harper wrestles with her choice—especially when her heart longs for the father of her baby…

I really enjoyed The Wedding Secret.

This was such a good read, loved Harper and really felt for her character. She was so much more than what she let people see, I admired her strength and determination to succeed in life.

I found myself struggling with Kevin at times, just as I was getting to like him he would say or do something stupid that made me doubt him once again.
Even thought I had my love/hate moments with Kevin I truly enjoyed reading their love story and seeing them find their HEA.

Loved the epilogue, it was a beautiful look into their life and just how all the Rossi family had found true love and happiness.

Thank you to Netgalley and to PENGUIN GROUP Berkley, NAL / Signet Romance, DAW for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

A wedding secret that had consequences but lies ended up hurting so many people and only time can tell if they can all come together again and be happy.

Wow, what can I say about this book besides that I loved it. This story seemed so real and the characters emotions were captured perfectly. I love it when I’m able to read the character’s interaction from the very beginning and at the end I’m satisfied with the epilogue of course I would love more but it had everything I love in a story. I knew that she was hiding more than who the father was to her precious baby girl but I didn’t know to what extent of the reason why. Then that was revealed and I couldn’t stop crying and I was a blubbery mess. That was not the only time I was an emotional wreck what hit hard was when she told him about him being a father and he went ballistic. I totally understood but he could’ve seen it through her eyes but I guess he needed time to process what was happening. She believed she was doing the right thing in the beginning because she thought he didn’t want a family but that was wrong. Then when the next secret comes out he was very unfair because he didn’t let her explain why she changed her name there is almost always an explanation to situations.

The Wedding Secret was a great read that had my emotions all over the place. The storyline was perfect as well as the writing. Ms. Moon has a great creativity for writing and the detail to this story was great. I love that there were situations in this book that could happen in real life. The chemistry between these two characters was hot, intense, and passionate. I love that I was able to see the other characters from the other books in this story.

This was a really fun book. I was excited to read this latest in Jeannie Moon’s Forever Love Series because I’d read the previous two books and really enjoyed them. Harper Poole was so mean and snobby to Meg in the beginning of first book, but boy has love and motherhood transformed her into a big softie. It was great to see perfectly polished ”Harpy” turn into a nice, caring and loving person. I liked her. Jeannie gave her a great back-story and made her an awesome mom.

Kevin is super hot, a nice guy. If I was him, I think I’d be more upset that Harper kept such a big secret but after his initial anger, he was very understanding. It was a treat to see them fall in love and for her to show her vulnerable side to him. I did want to clobber him a few times for hurting Harpers feelings, but I’m giving him a pass since he was so cool about the baby.

One thing I like about this series is that the characters are very relatable; I get their personalities and family dynamics. The women have spunk. Kevin’s mom is hilarious and tells it like it is.

The funniest scene to me was toward the end. When Harper confronts someone from her past, I LOVED this scene. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall, it was awesome. I can only imagine the car ride home where everyone would have talked about what happened. Too funny.
We got a glimpse of Kim, Harpers nanny, and I’m looking forward to her story in book four of this series.
Story: 4 stars
Moisture Meter: I’m giving it a 3.5, it’s sexy but I tend to like more graphic details (yes,I’m a perv)

Harper and Kevin were a couple that were meant to be together but something pulled them apart.

Harper Poole comes across as this girl who had everything she wanted growing up and continued to have now while she was a hard-nosed employee for Jason Campbell's company. But in all honesty she is very far from that in a lot of ways and has had to overcome a lot in her life.

The latest would be her quick romance with Kevin Rossi, a major league baseball player. Just when it seemed to Harper that things were going right and he would be telling his family/her friends about her, he threw her a surprise, he was traded to a team in San Diego. That blew Harper away, especially since she was going to tell him that she was pregnant. She made the hardest decision and that was to not tell him she was pregnant or his family that it was his. She hoped to succeed but then there was another wrench or two in that idea, he came home and she realized she couldn't keep it a secret.

Would they be able to finally admit to each other that what they had that was a once in a lifetime, fireworks every time they touched, and that they loved each other? Or would they still keep it a secret as well and Kevin remain the idiotic jock he was? What about Harper's past, would that be revealed and floor everyone so much that any chance be ruined?

This has been updated since its original release back in 2014. And honestly its better now than it was before.

I can't say because that would ruin it all. A definite must read and I can't wait for more books from Jeannie.
