Kutztown University athletics ready to welcome fans back for 2021 fall season

| By:
KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Kutztown University will welcome fans back to campus for the 2021 fall sports season when the football team kicks off against Assumption University Saturday, Sept. 4.

All of KU's 2020 fall sports seasons were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Golden Bear cross country, field hockey, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball teams have been practicing hard during their respective preseason camps as they eagerly gear up towards a return to competition. Later this fall, the women's golf and tennis teams will join those already on campus.

Kutztown University is not planning to limit the number of spectators allowed at home sporting events. For outdoor events at Andre Reed Stadium (football/field hockey), Keystone Field (soccer), Keystone Courts (tennis) and the North Campus Cross Country Course, it is strongly recommended that non-vaccinated spectators wear a mask or face covering. All spectators attending volleyball matches indoors at Keystone Arena must wear a mask or face covering while inside the building. Masks or face coverings are currently mandated indoors campus-wide when in a group gathering.

The health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans from Kutztown University and visiting institutions remains at the forefront of KU's decisions surrounding COVID-19. The university continues to monitor state and national health and safety guidelines. Should updates to the KU athletics spectator policy be necessary, they will be relayed through the official athletics website, KUBears.com, and on the department's social media accounts (@KUGoldenBears on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

Tickets are on sale now for the 2021 KU football season and can be purchased online HERE. All regular season home events for Kutztown cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball are free to attend.
