KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Kutztown University will honor its 125th season of organized baseball during the 2022 season.
 
The history of the program dates to 1891, starting with an intramural squad, before the first varsity season was contested in 1894. Kutztown has sponsored the sport continuously since then, with only a four-year hiatus for World War II between 1942-45, and a pandemic-shortened 2020 season.
 
Along the way, Kutztown has produced more than 1,100 all-time victories, six PSAC championships, five NCAA regional titles and five trips to the NCAA Division II Championships.
 
The 125th season will be celebrated through the following initiatives:

125TH SEASON CELEBRATION (APRIL 9, 2022)
The baseball program will celebrate the anniversary of its 125th season with an in-person event Saturday, April 9. The celebration begins with a brunch at 10 a.m. in the McFarland Student Union Building (Room 250) and continues at noon as the Golden Bears take on Mansfield in a PSAC East doubleheader at North Campus Field. Prior to the start of game one, alumni will be recognized for their contributions to the program in a special on-field ceremony. The rain date is Sunday, April 10. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. REGISTER HERE!

125TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON LOGO
The 125th anniversary season logo was commissioned by Kutztown University's graphic design team. The Golden Bears will wear commemorative warmups featuring the logo, while North Campus Field will be adorned with a banner highlighting the logo beyond the left field fence.
