BMA Statement on CMS Proposal to Cut Medicare Advantage

WASHINGTON – After further review, Better Medicare Alliance, the nation’s leading research and advocacy organization representing a diverse coalition of stakeholders supporting Medicare Advantage, issued the following statement regarding the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) 2024 Medicare Advantage Advance Notice.

“If finalized, this proposal to cut Medicare Advantage by 2.3% would raise costs and cut benefits for 30 million American seniors who rely on Medicare Advantage, a vital part of Medicare. We urge the agency to issue final policies that will keep the promise of stability for 30 million Medicare beneficiaries,” said Mary Beth Donahue, president and CEO of Better Medicare Alliance.
