Remote Access to the Library

Introduction

In fall 2022, Sept. 19 - Dec. 8, the library is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Remote Services are also provided during these times.

 

When we are open, seating is open in the library, except for study rooms, where you need to make a reservations. Reservations can be made using our online seat booking system. Masks are always appreciated in the library.

Laptops

Note: ASG/LLP laptops should not be returned to the library book drop.

Circulation

Calculators 

In partnership with the Math Department, the library is offering a limited number of graphing calculators for students to check out for the quarter. The calculators are first come, first served. Interested students should contact the library by sending an email to circulation@bellevuecollege.edu. 

 

We also have calculators that students can check out for 3 hours while studying in the library or on campus.

 

As an online substitute, the Math Lab recommends: 

Please be aware that online calculators may not be available during online tests if a “locked browser” is being used. Please return calculators to the metal book drop outside of the library entrance, D126. 

Library Pickup

We offer Library pickup of physical books owned by the library. For more information, visit the Library Pickup information page on this Guide.

Interlibrary Loan 

We are offering Interlibrary Loan and if you have any questions, please contact a reference librarian.

Renewals, Fines, Due Dates 

Please visit or call the Circulation Desk (425-564-2252) during library’s open hours. The circulation staff are also available to answer emails at circulation@bellevuecollege.edu

If you need to return your materials, library materials (including calculators and Hotspots) can be returned to the metal book drop outside of the library entrance, D126. You can also mail items back to: Bellevue College Library Circulation, 3000 Landerholm Circle SE, Bellevue, WA 98007.

Note: ASG/LLP laptops should not be returned to the library book drop. Those laptops need to be returned, via appointment, to the Service Desk in B233: 425-564-4357 or servicedesk@bellevuecollege.edu.

Librarians

Reference Help 

If you need help with research, please contact the Librarians on our 24/7 Ask a Librarian pagewhich includes a 24/7 chat service.  Research help includes: helping develop your research topic, finding resources, evaluating resources, and citations.  In using Ask a Librarian, you may be connected to a BC librarian or librarians from other schools.

If you'd like to work directly with a BC Librarian through a private video session, you can schedule an appointment  via our Schedule an Appointment calendar. 

Library Instruction 

While classes are a mix of remote and in-person, the Librarians are doing instruction to best fit class needs. To request library instruction please fill out the request form.

DMA Equipment

eLearning is currently coordinating with IBIT (The Institute for Business and Technology) on how DMA students can check out equipment during fall quarter from the LMC.
