Honoring Volunteer Contributions

The Academy runs on people power by the thousands! 18-24 April is National Volunteers Week in the United States and the important act of recognizing volunteers also takes place around the globe at different times of the year. This week we especially celebrate and thank the vital members of our scholarly community who voluntarily give their time and expertise to shape our association, while also impacting the future of management research, education, and practice. The dedication of our volunteers, whether for projects large or small, fuels our AOM for the benefit of all members and scholars around the globe.

Over the past year, we’ve seen first-hand how volunteers have come together to help our association overcome unprecedented challenges and graciously extend helping hands to fellow members.

To all of our volunteers, you make a difference for our worldwide community. You are the lifeblood of AOM… and we thank you for all that you do.

The value of AOM Membership

“AOM membership has been fundamental in walking me through the process of going from rookie PhD student to author. A key role in that process is, in my view, the Annual Meeting. Each AOM meeting is a tremendous opportunity to learn the cutting edge state of the field of management research, both in terms of theory and methods. That learning opportunity not only allows scholars to stay abreast with the latest developments, but also to see, at a glance, where the field is most wanting and needs improvement. This is a crucial source of inspiration for meaningful academic contributions.”
