WSDA and partners have created lots of posters and other promotional and educational materials for Farm to School projects, and we want them to be used and seen all around the State!  Browse the selection below and download lots of beautiful materials for posting in your school, institution, or market!

WSDA's Farm to School Team wants to provide a range of materials and options to help you promote your farm to institution efforts to students and families.  Many individal programs have created great resources to share. Mix and match to meet your specific needs! Harvest of the Month

Harvest of the Month is a model for featuring and promoting one “harvest” fresh fruit or vegetable each month. The “harvest” item is served in meals and snacks, used for taste tests, featured in education and highlighted in the community.


Harvest of the Month Sign Template from WSDA Farm to School includes 22 different crops. The set comes in Powerpoint, so you can adapt to your school, create new items, and add the farmer and where the crop was grown.

Grown in Washington Set from Public Health King County

This set of flyers, posters, Grown in Washington calendar and logo are geared towards the secondary student audience. Posters include agriculture or food facts and the set includes materials for 10 different Washington grown products, including stone fruits, carrots, squash, beans & lentils, apples, dairy, grains, radishes, asparagus, and strawberries.

Seattle Public Schools and Public Health King County Harvest of the Month Posters and Education Packets

To use this Harvest of the Month template set:

1. Download this blank Bulletin Board and print yourself or send to a printer for a large format version.
2. Download and print your Harvest of the Month Crop item and handouts from the downloadable links.
3. Paste the item and facts onto the large blue Bulletin Board.


WSU Extension Pierce County SNAP-Ed Harvest of the Month Banners

This set was developed by WSU Pierce County Extension and Pierce County. It features their Harvest of the Month crops, specifically at Franklin Pierce School District from their school district farm.

To use this Harvest of the Month template set:

  1. Download the blank Banner Template and print yourself or send to a printer for a large format or vinyl banner version
  2. Download the 14 Crop Set and print your Harvest of the Month item
  3. Paste the item and "Grown at..." info onto the large Banner Template.

To customize this banner with your own district or partner logos, please contact Sheryl Rhinehart at srhineh@co.pierce.wa.us. Be prepared to send high-resolution images of the logos you would like to use.

Whatcom Harvest of the Month 2017 Calendar


Whatcom County Harvest of the Month
 

The Whatcom Farm to School Team has created a collection of Harvest of the Month posters, education, and outreach materials based on Northwest Washington's specific growing seasons. They also recently adapted Harvest of the Month educational materials with Washington-specific facts, including posters, teacher talking points, powerpoint presentations, trivia questions, teacher lesson guides and factsheets for each crop below.  All of their materials, including the Harvest of the Month calendar at right and materials for the crops below, are available for download a the Whatcom Farm to School website.

From Oregon's Department of Education, Harvest for Schools materials for 44 crops include a poster, "Classroom Connections" lesson, family newsletter, coloring page, sticker template, "passport" hand stamp, "Food Hero" newsletter, school garden identifier, and recipes.

From The Network for a Healthy California, Harvest of the Month materials for 36 crops include an educator newsletter, family newsletter, community newsletter, and menu slick. Most materials also available in Spanish. También disponible en español.


Washington State Dairy Posters


The Washington State Dairy Council provides posters, teaching tools, activity sheets, and other nutrition education materials to schools, including a focus on Washington State dairy producers and products. FRESH FROM THE FARMS NEAR YOU!


A set of farm to school logos, symbols and a flyer/poster developed for the South King County Farm to School Collaborative Project, one of the Community Transformation Grant 2012-14 project made possible with funding from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The set is available for FREE - you can download a part or all of the files from the link below. It includes three logos (primary, icon and horizontal), each comes with four file types (JPEG, PNG, AI and ESP) and both color and black-and-white, a flyer (11x17 and 16x20), and the user guide [PDF].

Washington Harvest Identification Posters & Brochures


WSDA partnered with Washington State Department of Health and Ferndale Food Bank to develop some educational materials for food bank volunteers, clients, and the public in identifying and cooking certain types of Washington grown leafy greens, winter squash, and legumes.
