Professional Development

AFDECOP aims to empower members, the development community and other stakeholders through contextualized training and capacity building activities.  Through different initiatives, we promote awareness and adherence to best practice in strategic communication for development.

Policy advocacy

A key focus of AFDECOP is to  builds relationship and alliances with government officials and civil society organizations in campaigning for policy reforms to aid the development agenda through policy dialogue platforms. Through these partnerships, we generate  and share knowledge and baseline information with policy makers, public officials, media, civil society and communities to promote the application of development communication to improve public services and development interventions. Also core to our mission is advocacy to position strategic communication as a critical element to the attainment of Kenya’s development goals.
