Krista Murphy is the managing principal of AEI’s San Francisco office. She is a leader of our strategic plan firmwide objective to be the firm of first choice for clients and employees. Additionally, she serves on AEI’s Board of Directors with firmwide responsibilities for AEI’s GROW program and Company Wide Teams (CWT).

Krista also serves on the Mechanical Review Board for the California State University system. Krista brings over two and half decades of Bay Area utility master planning, project management, and electrical design expertise to our higher education, national laboratory, healthcare, and biotechnology clients. She managed the various electrical aspects of Stanford’s Energy Systems Innovation project and ongoing campus electrical distribution system improvements, supported long-range master planning efforts at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, led electrical infrastructure design work at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Davis Health, and works with many prominent life sciences developers promoting research space for the Bay Area’s life sciences industry.

As California shifts toward electrification of facilities and transportation while simultaneously dealing with utility outages and the need to keep power continuity to critical operations, she has collaborated on a variety of electrical power resiliency projects.
