Mental Health First Aid for Youth
Mental Health First Aid for Youth is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help youth who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. This is ideal for parents, coaches and others who are engaged with youth in their lives. PLEASE NOTE MHFA IS INTENDED AS AN INTRODUCTORY COURSE TO MENTAL HEALTH FOR THOSE HAVING NO BACKGROUND OR TRAINING IN THE SUBJECT.
Participants must complete the full 8 hours of the course to be eligible to receive the completion certificate.

PARKING: Youth Eastside Services is located inside of Crossroads Park. Free event parking is located in YES marked spaces, or other available parking in the park.
**Update on 4/22 - The National Council will be rolling out a virtual option, we hope in time for this training, however, we are not sure yet when this will be available. We will update this site when we have more information. *Enrollment will close May 26th at 5PM.
