Elementary Guidance Newsletter
Hello From the Guidance Office!
Hello Students!
During these uncertain times, we hope you have found the activities and information in our newsletters helpful! We recognize the lack of answers and control can be difficult for many and have focused on topics that research shows will support and enhance overall health and well-being (coping, positive mindset, gratitude, acts of kindness, resiliency, flexibility, mindfulness, maintaining connections, sleep and adaptability). This will be our last edition for this school year. In addition to the above topics, we have included resources on talking with children about race and discrimination along with MANY inexpensive and fun summertime at-home activities. We care very much about you all, and wish you all the best for a healthy and happy summer.

Girls TogetHER is a non-profit girls mentoring program. We will be doing a three-week program to bring together female high school mentors and girls entering 4th-6th grade in the Fall 2020-2021 school year. Our goals are to foster female empowerment and leadership. We focus on the characteristics of trustworthiness, teamwork, creativity, and community service! Mentoring workshops will take place through the library’s Zoom and registrants will receive the meeting invitations before the sessions. Please email mpealer@ccls.org with any questions!
