Updates from the Health Office
Vision and Hearing Screening~
Vision and hearing screenings are conducted in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 5th grade (per State of Vermont guidelines). This fall, we are continuing to screen students in those grades. You will be contacted ONLY if we determine that your child requires further (out of school) testing by their provider or a specialist. Children can also be screened, during the school year, upon request. Please call Mrs. Farrell at 652-7449 if you have any questions.

Chamberlin Food Drive and South Burlington Food Shelf
Did you know that there is now a South Burlington Food Shelf? The grand opening is on Monday, October 28th and it is located at 356 Dorset Street. In the future, we will partner with the food shelf for our Chamberlin Food Drive, giving families more choice about food items.

PTO Updates
We look forward to seeing you at our next Meeting on Tuesday, November 12th!
You can support our school by buying products with the Box Tops symbol! Here is information about the Box Tops program:
For the month of October, Chamberlin School will receive $1.00 for every reuseable grocery bag purchased at Hannafords on Dorset Street and/or Shaw's on Shelburne Road.
Our next fundraiser will be selling the popular coupon books, filled with discounts for local and national businesses. This will begin on November 4th. We use the proceeds from our fundraisers to pay for a fieldtrip for each classroom, fund a small teacher budget for every teacher (including $500 per year for our Integrated Arts teachers), and fund other projects and programs that enrich our children's education.
