*The Society for Utopian Studies is an interdisciplinary academic organization that has been meeting annually since its founding in 1975. This year’s 36^th annual conference takes place in Tulum, Mexico (originally called “Zama,” meaning “sunrise” in Mayan) from October 17 through October 20, with sessions from Thursday through Saturday (the 17^th – 19^th).
