Family Journey Camp Out
A weekend guided camp out for families who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. All food, camping gear, and camping fees are provided at no cost. Families will have fun together on hikes and in games, connect with other grieving families, and learn skills and ways to be with each other ongoing through the loss. There will be opportunities to process grief through conversations, creative activities, and nature connection together as a family as well as in peer groups.
Who: Families who have experienced the death of someone important to them. Due to our funding sources, we prioritize families living in Washington State, but do accept families from out of state when possible.
What: A 3-day weekend camp-out
When: Summer 2023
Trip 1: June 9-11
Trip 2: September 2-4
Where: Lewis & Clark State Park Group Camp
How Much: No Charge. All camping gear, food, and camping fees provided.
Please leave pets at home. Trained service animals welcome.
