Our 2024 Celebration

Every year, Trinity Film Festival offers undergraduate filmmakers the opportunity to premiere their short films on the big screen for peers, professionals, and local filmgoers. Undergraduate students from all around the world submit films to TFF in the hope of being awarded the opportunity to visit Cinestudio Theater in Hartford, CT and to present their films to a packed audience. This festival season has been one of our most competitive, with more submissions than ever before.

Our 13th annual celebration of student filmmaking will take place on Saturday, May 4th. In addition to welcoming filmmakers from near and far, we will also be welcoming members of the Trinity and greater Hartford community. In addition to our red carpet and film screening, all attendees are invited to attend our catered reception and awards ceremony, which will include a live performance from one of Trinity’s talented acapella groups, the Quirks. For those who aren’t able to make it to the celebration, the awards ceremony will be streamed live on the evening of May 4th. Additionally, our selected films will be available to stream on this website for a limited time following the festival. The winning films will be featured permanently on our “Past Festivals” page.

We are absolutely honored to be able to host so much emerging talent. Thank you so much to our 2024 TFF team, our panel of judges, and all the staff, students, and alumni who contribute to this wonderful event - we would be nowhere without your hard work and dedication. We hope to see you May 4th, 2024!

Event

Trinity Film Festival is a celebration of the best undergraduate filmmakers in the world. It is an intimate event at one of the premier independent movie theaters in the United States. Audiences, professional judges, and accepted filmmakers all watch the films together in a 1930s-style movie palace, followed by an Oscars-style awards party on the beautiful campus of Trinity College. Filmmakers are required to attend if selected, and will be the stars of the evening — they will have the opportunity to network with other filmmakers and our judging panel of film professionals, to hear feedback directly from audience members, and to win cash prizes on a night they'll never forget.

We are tirelessly working to produce a world-class event for TFF 2024. We will be live-streaming our awards ceremony on this website and will make the selected films available to watch for a limited time following the festival.
