Home to the famous Knott’s Berry Farm, everyone in this historic community of over 90,000 residents has access to OCPA’s green energy and its myriad benefits to planet and people.
Greening the grid is a reality for this city, known for its vibrant downtown and college campuses. This city is helping us all – students, athletes, kids and families – breathe cleaner with OCPA’s green energy.
With the pristine Pacific Ocean as a next-door neighbor, this famous beach city is committed to protecting its water, air, and people with green energy coming from the earth, wind, water and sun.
However, in May 2023, the Huntington Beach City Council voted to leave OCPA. Service for Orange County Power Authority customers in the City of Huntington Beach will be ending in 2024. Southern California Edison (SCE) will once again be the provider of both the electric generation and distribution service for energy customers in the City of Huntington Beach. Learn more here.
With more than 300,000 residents, city leaders knew it was imperative to consider the city’s carbon footprint and begin moving toward sustainable energy for all. Today, Irvine is powering its city facilities with 100% renewable energy, and helping trailblaze a new era in electricity.
