Welcome to New Haven UMC
The New Haven congregation welcomes all newcomers to attend worship, children’s programs, or other ministries of the church with a spirit of love, servant hood and pride.
New Haven practices the great commandment in welcoming all people to our church. We welcome persons of all races and ethnic groups as well as persons of different social, financial, cultural, educational or any diverse backgrounds.
New Haven is a lay driven church and shares in the pastoral ministries of visitation to the ill, shut-ins, prospective new members, and inactive members. We have a lay driven nursing team that visits the nursing homes in the area. We have offered communion, dropped off agape gifts, and shared songs, devotions and love with the nursing home residents. Lay members have made visits with the pastor to shut-ins and the ill.
There has always been an atmosphere of excitement and urgency in worship services. The children and youth are actively involved in worship services through the ministry of the acolytes and children moments. We celebrate communion every first Sunday of the month and will use different types of communion throughout the year.
