On #nationalchildrensmentalhealthawarenessday, we celebrate the therapeutic power of play and connection in supporting the well-being of children and families. We are grateful for our incredible mental health project partners, FRIENDS WAY, Adoption Rhode Island, & Adult Correctional Institute (ACI) who share in this mission. At PCM, we have brought mental health programming to over 450 visitors through Wellness Wednesdays, featuring playful activities promoting mindfulness and emotional literacy. Together, we have provided private museum visits and yearly memberships to the children and families they serve, giving them valuable time to recharge, connect, and play. We are committed to expanding the mental health training and trauma-informed practices of our staff, volunteers, and community partners. By working together, we can build a support system that nurtures the mental well-being of all children. Big thanks to Friends' Way, Adoption RI, & Adult Correctional Institute (ACI) for championing the importance of play in children's mental health! #pcm #championsofplay #childrensmentalhealthweek #mentalhealthproject #kidsmentalhealth #playandlearn #providence #rhodeisland #museum #childrensmuseum #familyfun
