Altenew March 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Altenew for their March release blog hop. If you are following the hop then you should have arrived here from the Altenew Card Blog. I have a couple of projects to share with you featuring several of the new releases products.
Altenew-Doodled Dots Cover, Cross Stitched Flower & Flat & Fold AlphaMy first project uses the gorgeous Doodled Dots Cover die. Before die cutting the cover die I blended the panel with several Altenew inks: Sweet Dreams inks on the bottom and Green Meadows inks on the top.
Altenew-Doodled Dots CoverFor the sentiment I used the Thanks die from the Scripty Words 2 set. I embossed a coordinating sentiment from the Cross Stitch Flower stamp set.
Altenew-Doodled Dots CoverThis next card features the Cross Stitch Flower stamp set. For the bloom I used inks from the Tea Party Oval ink set.
Altenew-Cross Stitched Flower & Flat & Fold AlphaI used the awesome new Flat & Fold Alpha die set for the sentiment spelling out the word ‘hello’. I added an embossed sentiment from the Cross Stitch Flower stamp set and popped the panel onto a white card base.
Altenew-Cross Stitched Flower & Flat & Fold AlphaHere’s a video to show you how I created these cards.

Bold, bright and happy cards! As always, Laura, you make fantastic cards, and you showcase Altenew’s latest release with so much inspiration. I’ve become a cross stitch addict so that cross stitch flower stamp set is a must-have. The Doodled Dots cover die would add texture and design to any card.

I have been a cross-stitcher for many years, so its interesting to see the cross-over into stamping. It’s SEW sweet! Did you like my humor there? Lovely cards, btw!

Lovely shades used on the background and on the stitched flower, and the pattern of those dots is real fun. Am so glad you used the half cut alphabet as I really couldn’t work out how it would look, but super is the answer.

It is always hard to pick a favorite card you make because I like them all, but I choose the first one today. I have always liked greens and blues together and they look terrific on this card. The cover plate adds an interesting and unique background. Another part that I particularly like is the scripty Thanks die. 🙂
