Actors sought for Crowded Kitchen Players' June 2024 Production

Crowded Kitchen Players seek actors for a new play by regional playwright Paul Kodiak.

"Twilight in the Park" will be performed in The Ice House in Bethlehem, PA the first three weekends in June 2024.

Auditions will be held April 7 @ 200PM and April 9 @ 700PM in The Kitchen which is located at 1680 Minesite Road, Allentown, PA 18103. There will be cold readings from the script.

SYNOPSIS:

The year is 1999.

Oscar is a strong willed WWII Army combat veteran struggling with PTSD and rapid onset dementia.

As wartime memories overshadow his sense of reality, Oscar increasingly believes that he is still an active duty soldier in a war that never ends.

Oscar's wife, Lucy, is near the breaking point as she fights to keep what’s left of him from slipping into delusion.

Lucy’s best friend, Agnes, a lonely woman desperate for love has grown especially fond of Oscar.

*YOUNG OSCAR and YOUNG LUCY are seen in the year 1946, early and later in the play, and are younger versions of OSCAR and LUCY.
