The AEEF will once again be participating in the National Day of Giving, also known as Giving Tuesday, which is scheduled annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. This 24-Hour Fundraising Event raised over $2.5B throughout the entire nation last year. Help us Celebrate Education in Aurora and join us in person if you are able on Tuesday, November 28, 5:00 – 9:00, for an evening of food, drink, and fellowship. Entry and food are free, and by hosting our annual Giving Tuesday event, we hope to bring awareness to our Foundation and raise funds for our students and staff on the East Side.

Our scholarship program has grown dramatically on an annual basis. Over the last 8 years, the AEEF has been able to provide over $400,000 in scholarships for students. It is heartwarming to see how many people contribute. I hope we can count on you this year. No donation is too small. Those who donate $1,000 may choose to name a scholarship after a teacher, coach, director, family, or yourself.**

**Naming rights are available for the 2024 AEEF Scholarships with donations of $1,000 or more.

Donations can be made DIRECTLY to AEEF via this link cffrv.gives/East or by check to:

Please feel free to spread the word about the AEEF and our Giving Tuesday campaign. We are a grassroots organization that, through the leadership of the Volunteer AEEF Board, is having a positive impact on young people’s lives on the East Side of Aurora. Your participation is appreciated and critical to the success of the AEEF’s mission. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for assisting us with these efforts!!! Go EAST! Any sized donation is welcome, for additional info, contact: aeef131@gmail.com

We chose the Community Foundation because of its reputation. It’s well known, established and we can trust them to do the job for us.

Richard and Susan Schindel Scholarship Funds

There’s no question in my mind that the scholarship I received opened up possibilities.

Marianne Renner

Past Scholarship Recipient & Current Leadership Coach

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

Moises J.

Claude & Alice Allen Memorial Scholarship Recipient

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.

Sharon Stredde

President Emeritus

Thank you very much for supporting my college education for these four years. I will never be able to repay you for the opportunity that this scholarship has given to me.

Julia H.

[Renewing Scholarship Recipient] Graduate of Hinkley-Big Rock High School

…you can always start small, even $25 can make a difference. Remember we can’t take our money with us. Even if it’s just your gift of time. Volunteer and get involved.
